About Atlas Surfacing

Atlas Surfacing Ltd is a groundworks and surfacing contractor covering North Northamptonshire and surrounding areas.

Charles Murphy has been laying driveways since 2001 and set up Atlas Surfacing Ltd in 2022 (company number 13899990).

We're a small, owner-led team of four. Charles is on site with the crew, so the person who quotes your job is the person who builds it.

Qualifications and cover

Charles holds an NRSWA supervisor card and our operatives hold NRSWA operative cards, so we can carry out dropped kerbs and work on the public highway. We're a North Northamptonshire Council approved dropped kerb contractor. £10 million public liability insurance.

How we build

We dig out to the proper depth, lay Type 1 sub-base in layers and compact it with a large roller rather than a small wacker plate, then lay the base and surface courses to the right depths for the job.

What we do

Tarmac and asphalt driveways, resin-bound driveways (BBA approved, SuDS compliant), block paving, gravel driveways, porcelain patios, dropped kerbs, driveway repairs, and commercial work including car parks, industrial yards, private roads, farm tracks and school playgrounds.
