Scope and local coverage
Our Bicester project shows how a planted front garden and existing hardstanding can become a usable resin-bound driveway. The finished surface curves around a retained tree and lawn, with defined borders to the planting and entrance.
Changing a garden into parking needs more than choosing a colour. We assess the available space, access, existing levels and drainage before recommending the construction. We use Daltex Base, Daltex aggregates and Daltex resins, with the specification agreed for your property.
We have completed resin driveway work in Bicester, Oxfordshire. Further visits are arranged around project scope and availability.
What the work covers
- Front-garden driveway layouts and replacement resin surfaces
- Assessment of existing hardstanding and preparation requirements
- Resin-bound surfacing with a site-specific base specification
- Curved edges around lawns, trees and planting
- Drainage design and checks at the property entrance
What we check first
Garden layout
Parking and pedestrian access, with space retained for trees and planting where appropriate.
Base condition
Whether existing hardstanding is suitable or needs removing before new construction.
Levels and drainage
Falls at the house, boundaries and highway, and where water can lawfully discharge.
Finish and edging
Aggregate appearance, border details and the junction with lawns and paths.
Completed resin driveway: Bicester, Oxfordshire
One genuine Bicester project, shown before and after from several viewpoints.

The supplied photos show the original planted garden and hardstanding, followed by the completed light-coloured resin driveway. The finished layout includes a curved lawn around the existing tree and a defined entrance.
These are different views of the same job, not separate installations. A new driveway is designed and quoted following its own survey.
Local planning and drainage notes
Front garden driveways: Planning Portal guidance
Planning Portal says a new or replaced impermeable driveway at the front of a house over 5 square metres usually needs planning permission unless rainwater drains to a lawn or border or the surface is permeable. Dropped kerbs and other restrictions may need separate approval, and flats, listed buildings and Article 4 areas are treated differently.

Bicester is in Cherwell district, Oxfordshire. Check property-specific planning requirements with Cherwell District Council before converting a front garden into parking. Resin-bound surfacing alone does not establish SuDS compliance: the base, ground conditions and water destination must also be suitable. Highway access or a dropped kerb may need separate approval.

Is this a driveway you completed in Bicester?
Yes. The owner has confirmed this resin driveway was completed in Bicester, Oxfordshire. All four images show the same project, including three before-and-after comparisons.
Can you convert a front garden into a driveway?
We can assess the space, access, base and drainage at a survey. Planning restrictions and highway access need checking before work starts.
Does resin automatically make a driveway SuDS compliant?
No. A permeable surface needs a suitable construction and drainage design beneath it. Soil conditions, the base and where water goes all need checking.
